November is Picture Book Month!!!

      Today kicks off Picture Book Month! Are you a teacher, librarian, or parent looking for a fun way to get kids excited about reading? Each day a famous children's book creator will talk about their love of picture books at the website.
     And you can download the handy dandy calendar (created by co-founder, Yours Truly) to follow along with themes for each day. Mondays are for non-fiction, and there are themes like friendship, nature, bunnies, dinosaurs, robots, etc. One for each day to get excited about picture books!
     Dianne de las Casas is the brains behind Picture Book Month (now in its third year). And co-founder, Katie Davis will do fun features on her kidlit podcast BRAIN BURPS ABOUT BOOKS all month. It's been such a hit, Picture Book Month was even featured by Oprah!
