Illustrative Coincidences

Back in about 2005 or so, I created this image:
           I always liked this image and the idea that the real monster in the scene was the little girl rather than the...monster.
      At any rate, yesterday I was visiting Creative Digest where an ad for Bosch was being featured with this image:
     I chalk this coincidence up to the idea of Jung's collective subconscious. This sort of thing happens to me all the time, but in various incarnations. For instance, I've drawn a person, and then seen that person on the street. It's just so rare that I can actually point to the similarities as in this case, when I saw this ad and thought, "Wow, that looks familiar!"
