e-bike adventures!

I absolutely adore my e-bike! It's a MARS HEYBIKE with big, chunky tires that have red polka-dots on the inside (!!!), a (modified) wide cushy seat, a cockpit for my music, and bags for carrying items from our local farmer's market and my water shoes so that I can go play in the Roanoke River (which I do)! I named it 'Marvin' after Marvin Martian (I need a sticker!).
I take Marvin out almost every weekend, sometimes both Saturday and Sunday - it's become my therapy. No matter how bad my mood when I begin, by the time I return home, all the stress has rolled off my back and blown away with the wind! And how could it not when I have the Greenway to ride on? These are some of the things I see when I ride. Like a morning with dew that turns into sparkling jewels.
Or the iron bridge that rattles loudly as I cross.
One of Stan's stones is in the water below, so I get to say 'hi' every time I pass.
If I go west towards Salem, I can ride right along the river.
And often have leaf-strewn stretches all to myself.
If I ride to the east, I get completely different river views.
Bridges go back and forth over the water making for lovely stopping points to just enjoy.
There's even a lovely rocky beach I've found to stop for a quick picnic and to practice my very poor rock-skipping skills.
Truly, my e-bike makes me so happy!!!
In fact, it's fall break as I type and guess what I'm going to go do?

  3. There used to be a closer entry to us before the Wasena Bridge construction; but for now, the entry for east is just past Black Dog Salvage, and the entry for west is just over the bridge from Black Dog (take a left at the end of the bridge). Do you both have bikes? Happy to do a ride together! :)
