Cajun
We said goodbye to our sweet Cajun this morning. She was 17 years old and my best bud for a large part of my life. Before Stan came along, Cajun and I hiked all over Prentiss Cooper and Rainbow Falls together. Later, Stan and I were able to give her the experience of living in a log cabin by a creek (which she loved to swim in) - there was tons of room to run and not a fence in sight. She had so many good friends over the years and never forgot anybody (despite being a blond!). We had a wonderful and sometimes tough life together. Through it all I was so lucky to have her by my side. Towards the end, she was very old for a very long time, but she was always my inspiration. I'm going to miss my noobie.

Oh I'm so sorry. But what a beautiful friend you had.
Much love to you and Stan and Cajun, and an extra dollop for your aching heart. xoxo Debbie
Aww, Cajun sounds like a wonderful friend. My sympathies are with you.
Aw, sweet, sweet Cajun. I'm so sorry you guys are going through this and have lost such a loyal, wonderful friend. I will miss his bark and his goofy grins. xoxoxox
Thanks so much guys. All the good wishes have truly helped today.
Dogs add so much to our lives. They love us unconditionally. I'm sorry for your loss.
Such a sad loss. May the memories Cajun gave you, live forever in your heart. Take care.
Such sad news of your dear little friend. Hugs, thoughts and prayers to you all x
I too lost a beloved studio companion/ dog. His name was Plato. I never expected to feel so bad about it but it hit me and all the rest of my family very hard.
I send all my heartfelt sympathy to you and your household.
I now have a second Australian shepherd/studio companion dog, named Hobbes. He is a good dog too, but not a replacement for dear Plato.
Is this is why so many authors end up writing books about their pets? such deep feelings to express.
I will never understand what people don't understand about having a pet. They are your extended FAMILY. They understand when when no one else does, they listen to you and they love you unconditionally. I so miss having a indoor pet to give me kisses. My closest thing to a pet now is 22 adult raccoons and so far 9 new baby coons. The closet they get to indoors is the pole bar every night for dinner (dog food, marshmallows, vanilla wafers and animal crackers. I do understand the loss, just remember Cajun would not want you to be sad long and would probably think in time you will find a new friend to love.
Smile with all the wonderful memories you shared with Cajun!
That is so sad, and so sweet that you shared his 'bio' with us. I have tears.
Good-bye Cajun. I am sure your human will continue to immortalize you in her illustrations.
Oh, e, I'm so sorry. Sounds like he was a wonderful dog - I'm glad you got to have so many good years with him! Thinking of you and sending good thoughts. xoxo
We were lucky, she was an awesome doggie for a very long time. Thanks guys.
