NordSüd

One of the highlights of my trip to Zurich, Switzerland was visiting the offices of publisher NordSüd. Zurich is their home base, so they invited the entire SCBWI Europolitan conference crowd to have a peek at their creative space!
I've been a long-time fan of NordSüd and their American branch, NorthSouth. Why? Well, they make gorgeous books for one...

but I have a personal tie as well. My publicist for A Bird on Water Street was Heather Lennon, before she went to NorthSouth full-time. So, she has been great about connecting me with NorthSouth creators over the years to feature on my blog. For instance, when I featured Torben Kuhlmann...
or Francesca Sanna. Of course, you probably know NordSüd for their biggest hit, Rainbow Fish.
The whole crew at NordSüd could not have been more welcoming. Owners/publishers Andrew and Herwig put together quite the spread for us, gave us a speech of welcome...
and even gave out some schwag!
I even made a new friend - hi Theresa!
If you're not familiar with NordSüd, might I suggest you put them on your radar? They're creating some truly impressive books, and they're some darned nice folks to boot!
