I recently participated in a fun little challenge from "Make Art That Sells" to create a collection of Teacups. I rather liked how they turned out, so I'm making them available on items like notebooks, cards, t-shirts, pillows, etc. at Redbubble. Maybe one would make a good gift for a friend? Peaceful, pleasant, productive, plodding

I just keep making things! So, I read this wonderful blog post by my friend Claudia Mills about her creative process. She's published over 50 books, and she swears by this secret: Peaceful, pleasant, productive, plodding. Which is very similar to my own method. So, I made it into a pretty quote for Claudia, but of course, now I get to share it with all of you too! I think it is especially profound on the notebook, or the diary, although, it makes a really cute sticker too. Heck, I like it on the pencil case, the note-cards, the pillows, the pin, the coffee cup, etc... too. I'm already working on my next quotie. These are fun!

My Zoom Shirt

Here's how an artist's brain works... So, I was reading this article from the New York Times about how everyone these days has a "Zoom Shirt": The Video Call Is Starting. Time to Put on Your Zoom Shirt. So, I go to read the article, thinking there will be some funny images of t-shirts made to look like dress shirts for Zoom calls. No such luck. It's just people keeping a dress shirt ready to throw on for impromptu Zoom meetings. Which, of course, got me thinking... are there any t-shirts of mock dress suits to throw on for Zoom meetings? No? Well, I'd better make some! So, I did! There's just the text, black text on a color... white text on a color... or, the actual business attire... Click on an image to go to that design in Redbubble. You can choose whatever color t-shirt you like, it doesn't have to be white or black. But notice the text is right up near the neckline, where it would be seen on screen? Silly, right? But fun!

I am just having so much fun with this new Redbubble interface! It is so easy to use I am uploading all sorts of art that you've never seen. For instance, I did a series of illustrations for Diana Wynne Jones' How's Moving Castle a while back, just for fun.
