Got my first Covid Vaccine!
I got my first Covid jab! I went with a friend and we stopped to celebrate with margaritas on a sun-drenched porch overlooking Lake Wylie while eating burgers and fries. What a feeling!
I can't wait for my second jab in April. I did the Moderna version. My arm was sore, and I have to admit it messed with my fibromyalgia, but I've never been so happy to get a shot in my life!
A Happy Face Mask!
You may have heard that Redbubble recently started offering a new product for artists to add their artwork to - a face mask! Well, I had to contribute. So... If you can't show the world your smile right now, here's a smile for your face mask! Click the image to go purchase yours at Redbubble.

UPDATE! I went a little crazy today and created a whole bunch of new items in Redbubble with my art - including a bunch of different face masks. CLICK HERE to see them all!

The new craze - bread making!
Yes, Stan has jumped on board the bread-making bandwagon! That's okay, I get to eat up all the benefits! For Easter, he decided to make bagels...
The dough was very wet and made quite the mess. Once the dough was risen, Stan made rings from the dough.
Then he boiled them, per the recipe.
And baked them.
Here's a before and after shot.
Of course, the best part was the eating them with (non-dairy) cream cheese and jam - OMG! SO GOOD!
And it's not the only bread Stan's taken to making. Today he made a sandwich loaf too.
So, here I sit, teaching online, while my hubby cooks and makes the apartment smell wonderful. Is it any wonder I'm gaining weight? Hence, the hoola-hoop! :)
Winthrop Lake
Paula and I went walking again - this time around Winthrop Lake.
The lake backs up to the rec center and the baseball field on one side, and a neighborhood on the other.
It's a popular place to walk, but somehow, I hadn't done it yet.
The park is closed to all but walkers and bicyclers. In fact, we saw some folks get in trouble with the cops for trying to play frisbee.
Meanwhile, I was out of breath trying to breathe through my new face mask - or am I already that out of shape?
(Here's Paula standing in a permanent fixture from the Come See Me Festival.) Either way, it was a lovely day for a walk, and boy did I need it!!!
Coping during Covid
How are you holding up through all this Covid craziness? A friend made Stan and I some very stylish masks to wear - thanks JD!!!
Meanwhile, I've purchased two things that are making my life a bit easier during lock-down. The first is a HOOLA-HOOP!!! I figure, what better form of social distancing exercise could you get!?
The other is a little rollie desk. It's given me the ability to use other spots in our wee apartment for video-conferencing (which I've been doing quite a bit of), and is working GREAT!

I purchased both via Amazon, of course. Here's the Hoola Hoop, and here's the desk. I especially like what one of the reviewers did with his - he turned it into a positive cock-pit, just like on Star Trek - groovy!
I hope you're faring well at your home. Have you come across something that's made your life easier too? Share below!
UPDATE! JD is holding a special promotion if you'd like some masks like ours. Visit her FB page to learn more!
