Interesting Linky List

Some of my favorite bloggers gather weekly lists of links, because sometimes there's just too much interesting stuff out there to cover in individual posts. Here are some links I think you might enjoy that I came across recently:

Did you read this great guest post by S.P.Gates, author of THE MONSTER IN THE MUDBALL, on authors' responsibility to their readers: "Are we, as children’s writers, under an obligation always to present a world with resolutions, where lessons are always learned, where bullies get their deserts, where good always triumphs over evil, even though we know that isn’t true? Even though we know that life is often messy and problems don’t always have easy solutions?"

In the Texas SCBWI Chapter, they have announced the Cynthia Leitich Smith Writing Mentor Award in her honor. I can't think of anybody more deserving of such an honor - very cool.

Parents Magazine recently named their Top Titles of children's books ranging from board books to chapter books.
