Making a Tree
I wanted to have one of those book trees for Christmas this year. You know the ones - they look like this. One problem. Most of my books are picture books. Picture books are very thin. That makes for a very... short tree. Hm.![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_thSKcerJXLJuWI2AVa5J0FwZ9sfi7RwJ5frBbTTx9nV9rnmDxVxyCudsXbl__7Ef7J-GNwoLNVzg2dR7J6YViL4o2VzfZot9GTcYGLVX1wrjqpVnrLULHqkPBHfVk=s0-d)
So, I came up with plan B. Our landlord came by recently with a new ladder. The box it came in was nice and tall and wide and I had an idea... I cut out two matching trees, painted them green and made this:![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_vw3EdRSRBWsQp88glN4wGBFJ8Rx7YvokHyZfpI8qeIFakEswii7hrNSlXaSBPdcoHQ3eHbu7zqHeUnTtX1TpgdzhRlD7xg3RTMlZBKBCgod4efyrH1knv785ew=s0-d)
I like this better - it's cute! I may add decorations later today. At any rate, I've been feeling crafty and this was a fun project to do. Now, I need to make cookies.
