I've been noticing this trend in art lately (and maybe it's no trend at all, I'm just now noticing it) - artists using mundane, inexpensive tools to create amazing, grand artwork. For instance, remember Aurora Robson's The Great Indoors made out of recycled plastic bottles? Or Yasuaki Onishi's Reverse of Volume made with plastic wrap and glue guns?
Here, artist Chen Chun Hao creates beautiful art using NAILS. At first I wasn't sure what I was looking at, until they zoomed in...
I have some ideas to do something with inexpensive tools myself, but where would I do it/keep it/show it. I know. Excuses, excuses.
Thanks to Daily Dawdle for the nail heads up - ha!
