Coloring Page Tuesday - Fox Dance!

One of the magical things about the area where A BIRD ON WATER STREET takes place is the music. In the book I talk about music Fridays. In real life, it happens on Thursdays at Horshoe Bend Park. It's called "Pickin' in the Park." Musicians come down from the hills playing ancient fiddles and singing in long bag-pipe-like drawls. It's impossible not to dance along!

When the birds return to Water Street, will anyone be left to hear them sing? A miner's strike allows green and growing things to return to the Red Hills, but that same strike may force residents to seek new homes and livelihoods elsewhere. Follow the story of Jack Hicks as he struggles to hold onto everything he loves most.
