All About MoonPie

So if you go to the Moonpie website under "about" and scroll to the 1970's - that's MY drawing on the MoonPie Mardi Gras packaging. (Have you ever caught one from a parade float?) Yup. MoonPie used to be one of our main accounts when I worked at the Wood Group in Chattanooga - part of my fifteen years in graphic design before I became a children's book author/illustrator. Gotta say, I'm still pretty proud of that particular project. :)

Oh man, now I want a Moonpie! Never had an RC cola though. Aren't they supposed to go together?

Moon Pies. What a trip back in time you just took me on, memories of moon pie runs to the store late at night, moon pies in lunch boxes... and now, to know that you designed the famous wrapper..one they have put on a "moon pie" t-shirt! No wonder you have such high aspirations, if that is your start!

Yup - RC Cola and MoonPies - although I always had mine with a Dr. Pepper... in a glass bottle. Yum!

Linda - I wish I could claim the moon logo, but no. That wasn't me. I just got to dress him up for Mardi Gras. :)

It was a fun client, that's for sure. Although the owner of the company was the real skill behind MoonPie's new look. Talented guy.
