Wandering Edinburgh

I've been having wonderful goodbye lunches with friends almost every day for weeks now - it's bittersweet. Everyone is so happy for me. I am too. But I am going to miss these people and this city so much. So after a fabulous lunch with my dear friend and mentor Vivian French at The Apiary, I decided to do a meander through this town I love - something I won't have many more chances to do. Even though I was full from lunch, I had to get a chocolate crepe from my favorite crepe stand.
I ate while walking until it just got too messy. So I stopped at the top of Victoria Street to finish it off and get all the chocolate off of me.
And then I did something I've been meaning to do since I moved to Edinburgh. On sunny days, you can have your photo taken with raptors on the Royal Mile. Meet Hazel the Owl...

I want to use one of these on the jacket flap of my next book with Cornell. Do you have a fave?
